Our client deals with FMCG products in the Personal / Health / Medical markets. They are currently recruiting for an experienced Sales and Business Development Manager to be based in their Bath offices. The role does involve travel - within the UK and abroad - therefore languages will be an advantage.
Coming from a sales background, you will need to have a good understanding of the personal care, healthcare and medical sectors. This position requires you to prepare and deliver action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects within these markets, whilst being responsible for the contract sales force. Heading up the team, you will be reporting directly into the MD regarding figures and potential leads.
To succeed in this role, you will need a proven track record in UK distribution and existing customer relationship management. Prior knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, Word and Outlook) is essential, as is an exposure to Sage. Highly organized, with excellent admin and business development skills are fundamental to the role.
The nature of the post requires you to generate new sales, particularly export sales. Whether these are to multiple retailers, direct to market or to distributors, you will need a good level of experience around this area.
