A unique opportunity has now become available for a computational biology/software engineer within a leading scientific software house in the North East. Focussing on the latest cutting edge, technological advances within the bioinformatics industry; the successful candidate will be joining a small but dedicated team of scientific software specialists.

This is an extremely varied role that would suit an experienced computational programmer/statistical data analyst with excellent C#, C++ or Java experience and scripting skills in Perl. It is essential that you are familiar with all stages of the software development process, ideally working with biological databases.

The successful candidate will be educated to at least degree level in a bioinformatics, computational biology or scientific discipline with a keen interest in informatics. Excellent OO programming experience along with proven statistical analysis knowledge is essential for this role.
